Kiskanmak – Overlooked by a mother consumed by beauty and appearances, Seniha grows up feeling like an outsider in her own family. Her older brother, Halit, is everything she is not: admired, successful, and celebrated as the pride of their noble, wealthy household. While he is encouraged to pursue his education and build a life of fame and fortune, Seniha is dismissed as the family’s “ugly duckling,” treated as though she could never be worthy of their name.

As Halit’s success carries him further ahead, Seniha is left behind—unloved, unnoticed, and with little chance to shape a future of her own. She never finishes school, never marries, and gradually finds herself reduced to a servant in the very home where she should have belonged. To her brother, she is not a sister to cherish but “Miss Nobody,” a cruel nickname that deepens the loneliness and resentment she has carried for years.
