Kanunsuz Topraklar – Episode 3

Kanunsuz Topraklar - In 1939, in Zonguldak, Turkey’s coal-mining city, life revolves around the mines—and the powerful man who owns them. Malik, a wealthy man in his fifties, has built his fortune on a system that exploits the miners, growing richer still as the country faces wartime hardship. Davut lives a modest life in town with his parents and siblings. But after an accident in the mine, events take a dangerous turn, and Davut ends up shooting Malik. Instead of reporting him to the authorities, Malik summons Davut to his mansion and makes him an unexpected offer: he will keep quiet, but Davut must carry out his dirty work. Davut accepts, hoping to use his position close to Malik to bring down the corrupt system from within. Then Malik’s daughter, Gulfem, catches sight of Davut—and immediately takes a dislike to him. Used to getting whatever she wants, she finds herself drawn into the orbit of someone entirely different: volatile, stubborn, and rude. For Gulfem, Davut is a thrilling adventure, but Malik has no intention of letting his daughter marry a man on his payroll. In a world shaped by power, hardship, and unexpected desires, no one’s life unfolds quite as they planned. This is, Kanunsuz Topraklar (Lawless Lands).
